Our client is a Fortune 500 insurance company that offers a diversified range of health insurance products and services to millions of U.S.consumers in the individual and group markets. The insurer also offers products and services for Medicare and Medicaid programs and other specialty products such as workers’ compensation.

Background: Limited integration and customization options available with earlier portal
Although our client’s earlier e-commerce health insurance portal supported Web-based enrollments, it offered limited business expansion opportunities due to lack of integration and customization options.

Product Impact: Online product enrollments shoot up by over 35%
In the first quarter of 2012, our client saw a growth of over 35% in their online product sales. Around 8,933 new members enrolled for health insurance coverage using our WebInsure Consumer platform in the first quarter of 2012, compared with 6,581 new online enrollments made during the same period in 2010 through the earlier vendor’s sales portal.

A large part of this growth can be attributed to our solution’s friendly user-interface, ability to quickly quote coverage and premiums that meet customer needs, and a broker portal that makes it easy for resellers to identify and present plans for any client requirement.
