Provider Portal Improves Workers Compensation & Customer Service Experience The successful deployment of a leading-edge Online Sales Tool generates new customers and revenue stream for a multi-billion dollar insurance provider

Introduction:
A large insurance provider, with operations in over 20 states and with revenues of over $4b implemented hCentive's WebInsure Consumer product for its electronic application and quoting requirements to improve its current processes and to prepare for the imminent regulations as a result of PPACA.

Background & Context:
Our client wanted an electronic application and quoting tool to empower its consumers, clients, agents, administrators, and brokers with functions including but not limited to the ability to obtain quotes, submit applications online, and obtain status of submitted applications in near real time.

Following product components were identified as critical:
  • Consumer Portal
  • Broker/Agent Portal
  • eSignature
  • Admin Portal
  • Reporting

Approach:
hCentive wanted to provide our client with a solution that is scalable, flexible and cost-efficient. Our WebInsure Consumer product met all of our client's need. With minor customizations, hCentive not only succeeded in providing a comprehensive solution but managed to deliver to the client in a record time frame of 11 months.

hCentive deployed a complete health insurance portal taking into consideration all business needs and delivered a solution quickly and efficiently.

Unlike an eCommerce portal where products are listed by a merchant and purchased by buyers, health insurance presents additional challenges. Each customer denes their own 'product' based on age, gender, # of applicants, etc. Moreover, with applicants' health history also being captured as part of the 'buying' process, the user-experience becomes a vital factor in driving the use of the portal. While developing WebInsure Consumer, hCentive took into account all of these complexities to make a comprehensive, intuitive and user-friendly solution.

hCentive also ensured that WebInsure Consumer, including its portal and integration components, is compliant with the clients' technical security standards and HIPAA, SOX, and GLBA audit requirements.

Conclusion:
By leveraging the combined experience and expertise of a proven team, hCentive was able to deliver a solution that met our clients' requirements and created a portal that has thus far generated 50,000 new clients with 35,000 policies. Currently, the client uses the solution in over 20 states.
