The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) initiated the Five Star Quality Rating System for Medicare Advantage Plans to help educate consumers on quality and provide the consumers with a tool to evaluate different plan options. The ratings consist of over 50 measures coming from 5 different rating systems and the health reform legislation (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) links reimbursement rates for Medicare Advantage plans based off the Stars rating system.

About the Speakers
Barbara is the Manager of Product Management and Compliance at hCentive. Prior to joining hCentive in September of 2012, Barbara spent 17 years at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. While at BCBST, Barbara held various management roles in Operations, was a Sr Compliance Analyst in the Legal Division, and finisher her time at BlueCross as a Product Manager in the Senior Care Division.
Barbara earned a BS in Marketing and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
