Barbara Saegar to present “Medicare Advantage – Making the Complex Simple”

RESTON, VA – September 12, 2013: hCentive, the leader in healthcare exchange technology, announced today Barbara Saegar, Manager of Product Management and Compliance at the company, will be speaking at the AHIP 2013 Medicare Conference on Monday, September 23, from 7:30 to 8:30 am.

The session will cover the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Medicare Advantage enrollment, specifically how more beneficiaries are enrolling, instead of the expected decline. Given the increase in beneficiaries and the complex enrollment process, plans need new best practices to simplify their processes. Attendees of the AHIP session will learn how to ensure compliance with CMS SLAs, how to survive Plan Marketing audits, how to introduce automation to plan requirements, and the best ways to manage broker requirements.

Prior to joining hCentive, Ms. Saeger spent 17 years at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee where she held various operations, compliance, and legal positions. She earned a BS in Marketing and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

“We are very excited to have Barbara included in the impressive speaking roster for the AHIP Medicare Conference” said Manoj Agarwala, President & Chief Operating Officer of hCentive. “Medicare Advantage enrollment was up nearly 10 percent from March 2012 to March 2013, and it’s important to discuss the ramifications of this trend. Our organization carries a lot of industrial knowledge and we encourage the team to share their perspectives in the broader healthcare discussion. AHIP is an important conference that allows attendees to learn about the implications of healthcare reform, various compliance issues, and other pressing concerns.”
