CEO at hCentive
President at Fidelity Health Group
Interim CEO at AHIP
Held on May 13-14, our second annual customer conference, hCentive xChange, saw hearty participation from insurance carriers, brokers, and government entities. The event location presented an opportunity for participants to enjoy a relaxing environment while engaging in networking and learning.
The event kicked off with keynote, Dan Durham, Vice President and interim CEO for AHIP. Dan delivered insights on key industry trends for health plans, targeted focus areas for AHIP over the next year including affordability, stability, accessibility, and choice, and then closed out with a robust analysis on the Supreme Court case, King v. Burwell.
Following the keynote, Sanjay Singh, CEO and Co-Founder of hCentive lead the group in a discussion and product feature presentation on winning in a changing health benefits market. Sanjay discussed the importance of the user experience and leveraging exchange platforms that provide a seamless experience for both provider and consumer. More specifically, he delved into the affects these two items have on individual and group markets in conjunction with the changing needs and demands of today’s consumers. While the focus of individual market discussion was primarily on decision support and personalization, the discussion on group market was primarily devoted to simplification, flexibility, and efficiency in a complex system.
Additional highlights rolled into Sanjay’s session included key product features. Prabhakar Ram, Vice President of Products at hCentive, spoke about decision support tools and the importance of leveraging user groups in determining the current needs of the customer. Afterwards Prabhakar demonstrated key features of our newly designed decision support tool including customized consumer pathways, updated navigation, and educational tools. Sanjay’s session wrapped up with another demonstration lead by Barry Dupree, Director of Solutions at hCentive. Barry’s demonstration highlighted how a user (broker, health plan, or government entity), could achieve a seamless enrollment, billing, and payments experience when using our WebInsure Benefits, WebInsure Financial Management, eBill, and WebInsure Exchange Manager products.
The hCentive xChange also featured breakout sessions, with guest speakers from Fidelity and MA Health Connector participating in the discussion. The topics included:
- Broker Focus – At the crossroads, how your role with carriers and exchanges is evolving.
- Exchanges: You built it, will they come?
- Member Retention and Engagement Strategies
- What are the operational issues faced by State Exchanges, and how to solve them
- How to achieve true differentiation in Private Exchanges.
“I learned a lot from this event. The roundtables were very informative and it was nice to hear from collegues in the industry and the challenges they are facing. It was also nice to get perspective from those who are similar but different. I am from a health plan but learned a lot from those that are with brokers and ancillary carriers”
